3. Is Monty Really Dead?
Montgomery De La Cruz spent the better part of three years making everyone around him miserable through both annoying insults and unspeakable deeds. But the last two seasons have revealed that there was more to his story than we knew, as he suffered from both an abusive father and his own struggles regarding his sexuality. Unfortunately for him, he wasn't able to overcome his demons as he eventually went to prison for what he did to Tyler.
While the gang always intended to pin Bryce's death on Monty (due to the fact that he was already imprisoned for his crimes), the fact that he was killed in prison made it a lot easier for them to do so. That said, is he really dead?
Sure, it might seem like a far-fetched claim to even suggest that he's alive but, considering that it happened off-screen and the fact that this is 13 Reasons Why we're talking about here, there's always the chance that the writers could bring him back as a wild card next season.
