2. The Mandalorian

The Star Wars franchise is arguably the biggest and most ambitious in Hollywood history, so once upon a time the mere idea of a live-action TV series set within the same universe wasn't just unfathomable, it was downright unlikely. And then Disney+ came along.

The Mandalorian may have only just aired (or streamed) eight episodes in the decade but it was the sheer quality of those eight episodes that have earned it a well-deserved place on this list.

The truth is that the show felt very cinematic from the start, providing visuals that would rival some of the very best that the Star Wars movies have provided over the years. And that's a hard thing to do for any series - especially when it has to spend more time prioritising the narrative - and yet, it maintained that right through to the conclusion of its first season.

Speaking of narrative, it was quite simple really as it tracked the titular bounty hunter's journey through the outer reaches of the galaxy until... y'know... he wasn't alone anymore. And this provides audiences with some very complex storytelling as Pedro Pascal delivers an incredible performance without even showing his face.

Deserving of every bit of praise it gets, The Mandalorian took us to a a galaxy far, far away - one that was every bit as thrilling on the small screen.
