But this superhero show, which followed the exploits of some juvenile delinquents who were granted super powers during their community service, features an edgy wit which few American competitors can boast, and outclasses even more polished competitors such as The Boys with its satirical assault on the superhero genre’s conventions.

Of course, it doesn’t hurt that the cast includes a young Iwan Rheon and Robert Sheehan, who respectively offer shifty, nervy energy and some cheeky charm in spades.
