8. Obi-Wan / Darth Maul Rematch - Star Wars Rebels
Whether you loved or hated The Phantom Menace, you have to admit the ending lightsaber duel rocked. Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan fought Darth Maul to death, all set to the stirring music of John Williams, and it was epic beyond belief.
Obi-Wan eventually cut Maul in half and sent him tumbling down a huge open vent, so you’d think that was that. Apparently not, since the upper half of Maul managed to survive - somehow - clinging onto a vent and crawling away. He and Obi-Wan have since encountered each other on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and now another rematch has been confirmed for Star Wars Rebels.
This animated spin-off has teased a scene where Maul and Obi-Wan will face off once again on Tatooine, during Obi-Wan’s self-imposed exile. It’s pure fan-bait, but it’s the kind that's hard to resist.
