15 Sci-fi TV Shows That Ended Too Soon

11. Star Trek: Enterprise

The Beginning:

Airing from 2001 to 2005, Enterprise was in many ways ahead of its time; the show adopted a prequel format, being set 10 years before the events of The Original Series, and was geared towards the relationship between humans and Vulcans.

Hell, just to make the time element that bit more pertinent, they even let Scott Bakula aboard on captaining duties. Despite only running for four seasons there’s a devoted fanbase out there that bemoan this series not being given even longer on screens.

The End:

While there were folks out there that loved Enterprise, there were avid Trekkies that picked apart every plot strand their greasy fingers could grab onto (Romulan’s using cloaking devices, say what?) so vigorously, that the show’s reputation disappeared down a fan rage-induced black hole.

But the iron clad reason the show met its demise came down to ratings. Roll on the release of Discovery.
