Christian Cooke became a fan favourite when he appeared as UNIT soldier Ross Jenkins in 2008's The Sontaran Stratagem/The Poison Sky two-parter and his guest stint in the world's longest running sci-fi series put him in good stead to take on his own formidable franchise when he landed the leading role of Luke Rutherford-Van Helsing in ITV's 2009 supernatural drama Demons. OK, so it was axed after one series, but Christian has gone on to bigger and better things as he's just been in rom com Love, Rosie and has been playing a main character in Lifetime's Witches of East End. Which was also axed. You win some, you lose some.
