22. The Master Taking Over The World As His Wife Dances To Voodoo Child
The Doctor's arch nemesis came back with an almighty vengeance in the climactic Series 3 finale and it's safe to say that the Master's latest reign of terror had been thousands of years in the making. After hypnotising the British public into electing him as their new Prime Minister, the renegade Time Lord unleashed his army of tyrannic Toclafane from the end of the universe who proceeded to enslave the entire human to the head-numbingly catchy beats of the 2005 one hit wonder 'Here Come the Drums' by Voodoo Child. Because how else was the world ever going to end? Perhaps even more worryingly, the song actually made sense, too, since the Master had been haunted by a demonic drumbeat his entire life. So apt. So weird. So Russell T Davies.
