32 WTF Moments From Marvel's Jessica Jones

5. Hope€™s Demise

In terms of the characters most tortured throughout Jessica Jones€™ first season, Hope is right up there. With Kilgrave having convinced the judge and DA to release Hope, he proceeds to barter a deal with Jessica: his father in exchange for Hope. When Jones turns up at the scene, Kilgrave has Malcolm and his victim support group all primed on nooses and he has Hope stab herself as the support group attempt to hang themselves. Jessica manages to save the victim support group, but it€™s too late for poor Hope. With her last words, Hope makes Jones promise to kill Kilgrave in what was an emotional, awesome kick up the backside for our troubled PI.

4. Taking Down Simpson

One of the greatest set pieces of the entire first season of Jessica Jones was the titular Jones' battle with a drug-fuelled Simpson. It€™s an intense fight that sees the trigger-happy Simpson even put Jessica through a wall as he takes advantage of her broken ribs. Luckily Trish would arrive on the scene and the two would eventually take down Simpson, even if this did mean Trish had to pop some magic pills. The action itself was hugely WTF and impressive, but what was a little questionable was how Simpson could throw a superhero through a wall yet struggled to break down a flimsy bathroom door.
