6 Missing Game Of Thrones Characters That Should Return In Season 6

2. Edmure Tully

Though the infamous Red Wedding that took place at the end of season three will be forever remembered as the place where Robb Stark, his wife Talisa and mother Catelyn all met their demise, the subject of the wedding itself was Edmure Tully, Robb's uncle on his mother's side who became the Lord of the Riverlands following the passing of his father, Lord Hoster. Ostensibly, his marriage to a Frey girl was meant to placate Lord Walder Frey, slighted by Robb's decision to marry Talisa rather than one of his daughters as previously promised, but instead resulted in his bannerman's betrayal in partnership with Roose Bolton.

Taken hostage as a result, Edmure hasn't been seen since. In the books, meanwhile, his captive status is utilised by Jaime Lannister to quell rebellion from other households in the Riverlands before he is taken to Casterly Rock, where he presumably remains.

His return on screen wouldn't be particularly impactful, but it would allow viewers to get a glimpse of Casterly Rock (presuming his book storyline his followed), the Lannister castle that has been frequently mentioned but never seen either on the page or on screen, despite the fact that numerous members of House Lannister are key players in the titular 'Game of Thrones'.
