4. The Absorbing Man

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. often feels like the unwanted child of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and that perhaps explains why the series so often gets lumbered with the characters Kevin Feige has little interest in doing much with. While the ABC series has handled some of those better than others, The Absorbing Man ended up being a let down and a long way from the same comic book villain who's gone toe to toe with The Hulk. Despite finding a clever way to reference his history as a boxer in Daredevil, Marvel definitely didn't do a good job with Crusher Creel, essentially making him a one off villain who was defeated by Coulson's team with relative ease. Had he just been another Inhuman threat for the team to face this maybe wouldn't have felt so bad, but knowing his comic book history and the amazing things he's done there makes this take a failure.
