Probably the biggest about-face on this list is Jaime “Kingslayer” Lannister, who used to be a smug, honourless knight who thought nothing of crushing those who opposed his family. That changed in season three during a harrowing road trip with Brienne Of Tarth, where he saved her from rape but ended up minus a hand for his effort.

We also learn his kingslaying actions saved King’s Landing, but he wound up being labelled a traitor and coward regardless. After The Red Wedding, he keeps his promise to the late Catelyn Stark by sending Brienne to find her missing daughters. It would be a mistake to label him a hero – he did cripple Bran after all - but his gradual turn to the good side has been most welcome.

He’s lost quite a lot in the last couple of seasons, and it looks like he has a lot of drama ahead too. If fan theories are correct he might come full circle and become a “Queenslayer” too, which won’t do his reputation any good but would be great for his karma.
