Arrow Season 7: 10 Reasons It Should Be The Last

1. Arrow Can Go Out On A High

Arrow Season 7
The CW

Of all The CW's Comic-Con sneak peeks, it was surprisingly Arrow that showed the most promise. The grim trailer gave us a glimpse of what we should expect to see in the show's upcoming seventh season, and it certainly looks like it could be one heck of a year.

The trailer was surprisingly gritty and, as that's the tone that Arrow once thrived with, it was incredibly strong. Moreover, it's not just the tone that is reminiscent of the old Arrow, as Oliver's imprisonment also seems like a callback to his time on Lian Yu (which played a major role in the show's first two seasons). Outnumbered, outmatched and alone, Oliver Queen is forced to survive on his own one more time, and that is the ultimate full-circle story.

From unnerving prison scenes to interesting character arcs, there's no denying that Arrow Season 7 has the potential to be one of the show's more compelling outings. If the writers focus on the right storylines and limit the inconsistencies and bland character arcs, we could be in for a dark, gritty season - reminiscent of what the show used to be.

After all Arrow has been through, the creative team are incredibly lucky to have an opportunity like this one. With that in mind, they may not get another. Thus, it would be wise to use this chance correctly to craft a mature ending, worthy of what the show once was, that would ultimately allow it to go out on a real high.
