Batman v Superman v Doctor Who: 10 Heroic Connections
2. Alan Moore - Batman/Superman/Doctor Who Weekly
If one choice on this list spans the breadth of The Dark Knight, The Caped Crusader and The Bloke With The Eyebrows, it's comic book writer and influential graphic novelist Alan Moore. The printed page has borne various costumed classics, such as For The Man Who Has Everything featuring Superman and Clown Prince Of Crime tale The Killing Joke, all penned in the run up to his defining works Watchmen, From Hell and The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen amongst others. Spool back in time to the Seventies and Moore was in formative mode, where Doctor Who Weekly provided a valuable training ground for the burgeoning scribe. Black Legacy and Star Death were two of the titles created as a hand-drawn Tom Baker traversed the universe within the magazine's pages. He also left a legacy of sorts for the show's future, with Seventh Doctor script editor Andrew Cartmel seeing his work as a vital guide when assisting writers. Moore himself was approached to supply ideas, though this never came to anything. If he wrote a script now it would probably make even darker Doctor Peter Capaldi's eyes pop out of his head.
