BBC Original British Drama 2013 Trailer - 8 Shows That Got Us Excited

1. Sherlock (Series 3)

Sherl

This is the show, the show that you, I and probably the collective of Great Britain's populous are waiting for. Supposedly set to air on the 1st of January 2014, we don't have too long to wait before Sherlock and Watson reappear.

The last we saw of Sherlock, he had just (somehow, we are still waiting for the plausible (yet extremely complex) explanation) faked his own death following the suicide of Jim Moriarty (portrayed as a murder with the guilty party being Sherlock).

The two leads (and acting superpowers) return after near a year with Benedict Cumberbatch having starred in Star Trek: Into Darkness and The Hobbit whilst Martin Freeman led the Hobbit film.

With the loss of 'super villain' Moriarty other villains and adversaries from Conan Doyle's original stories may feature throughout the third series as Moffat aspires the series to address the fact that eventually Watson will be living apart from Holmes.

Gatiss wrote the first episode of the third series 'loosely based' on "The Adventure of the Empty House", in which Conan Doyle revealed that Holmes had faked his death.

Moffat is silent over what will comd, instead, offered hints in the form of three words: "Rat. Wedding. Bow." The words line up perfectly with another set of well-known stories from Arthur Conan Doyle's collected Sherlock adventures €“ but the matching of "Bow" could prove to be a bittersweet revelation for fans of the series.
