Of all of the new additions to the cast (more of which soon), the most exciting is that of Spinal Tap's Michael McKean, who is set to play an attorney who suffers from a strange debilitating condition (insert your own jokes about a lawyer telling the truth). McKean has considerable experience playing comic fools, given his work with Christopher Guest and on Saturday Night Live, and will play another attorney called Dr Thurber. Quite what the unusual affliction he suffers from remains to be confirmed, but you have to suspect that it will be comically tinged, given McKean's usual profile. His casting also seems to suggest that we're going to see more humorous content, in line with the funnier episodes concerning Saul, which can only be a good thing to make sure the spin-off is properly distinguished from the original.
