4. Mr. & Mrs. Pinkman's Fallacies

Yes, we know that Jesse's parents were at their wit's end. They were a typical, middle-class set of white parents who were completely clueless about...well, pretty much everything. They didn't even have a hint that their brillient, flute-playing second son was smoking weed. Jesse was the bad kid, so that's how they proceeded. They probably bought books on "tough love" and talked to equally clueless counselors regarding what to do about Jesse and the fact that he was living in a house that they technically owned. So what did they decide on? Throw him out onto the street. All "tough love" philosophies aside, parents probably should not willingly make a child homeless. What good can come of it? It can only make things worse, yet their insistence that it was the right thing to do was beyond obnoxious. We were all delighted when they got screwed out of almost half a million dollars and Jesse got the house back, weren't we?
