2. The Music

Blake Neely has done an awesome job with the music and score for Arrow, The Flash, and now DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and it was fantastic to see him spruce up the music of this latest offering in order to fit the surroundings.

Neely gave viewers a musical output that was firmly set in the Old West and had the vibe of a classic, rich Western to it. It managed to tick off plenty of the musical tropes of the regular Legends of Tomorrow theme, yet also managed to be its own unique beast entirely, perfectly encapsulating the tone and style of the times in which The Magnificent Eight was set.

It's sadly rare that Blake Neely gets the credit he deserves for his work on The CW’s DC-based shows, but his work here really was a masterclass in how to give something familiar and faithful to a show whilst also adding in something fresh and period-forming.
