Doctor Who: 10 Huge Moffat Plot Twists That Pose Bigger Questions

4. The "Woman In The Shop"

It's a question that everyone asked after 'The Bells of Saint John', along with the conundrums of the leaf, the mystery of Clara and the mention of Oswin. And whilst most of the mysteries have been solved, we still don't know who the woman in the shop was. I mean, I've listed it as a twist because it still could be a twist. Or could've been a twist, if people had correctly theorised that Rose - a known shop girl - gave Clara the number in 'The Day of the Doctor'. But could it be River? A version of Clara? Tasha Lem, the Doctor's "old friend" who appears in 'The Time of the Doctor'? Or maybe that's the Doctor's next mystery: searching for a new companion who hired the last one.
