Doctor Who: 10 Reasons Professor Brian Cox Would Make An Amazing 13th Doctor

7. A TARDIS Redesign

Tardis Console New Doctor, new TARDIS, That seems to be the rule since the series revival, and with a proper physicist in control there's no limit as to how it could look. With Coxy's enthusiasm for the golden age of modern science, nothing's stopping him kitting the place out to look like a Victorian laboratory, perhaps inspired by his Eighth self's steampunk design in the 1996 TV movie. Or, he could embrace his poptastic past and rig up a central console which takes the form of a keyboard, working on musical scale principle so that note sequences mean certain commands, for example a quick A-minor activating Emergency Programme One in times of direst need, C-sharp opens up the TARDIS Matrix, and similar. Admittedly, he'd have to think very carefully as to where he'd put his Bunsen burners and other paraphernalia, but I for one think it would have the potential to be just as big a rejig for the time machine as ' The Eleventh Hour' was for Matt Smith's Doctor. Surely we all knew how Amy Pond felt when she grasped just how awesome the revitalised Type 40 was- plus should he need it the grateful sentient time vessel would surely knock up a sonic screwdriver in keeping with either desktop theme?
