At first glance it looks like an excellent example of the type of desktop wallpaper that you can find repeatedly on DeviantART. And by saying that, I do not mean to belittle it. All I mean is that as a design concept it is justly 'up there', but ordinarily there would be no real reason for me to choose it over some of the other digital output in this list. Not, that is, until you realise that it is available in cross stitch. Yes, cross stitch. After you have a look at the original on the site, just click the link and you are taken to the artist's own website where you can see it in all its glory, also there is a list of the DMC threads used to sew the finished article. I know a bit about cross stitch, because my other half has been doing it since she was a kid and it's everywhere in our house. Believe me, as a picture it's great, but as cross-stitch it's simply awesome. I suspect that many long suffering 'Who widows' that are even half handy with a needle are about to find their lives thoroughly enriched by partners nagging them for that 'special' Christmas gift...
