Doctor Who: All 85 Revival Era Stories Ranked

30. The Time Of The Doctor

Moffat tried to squeeze too much action into one episode, but when it thrived, it was beautiful. The nods to Matt Smith's time in the TARDIS were wonderful, and the send-off was heartbreaking.

29. Dalek

The first introduction of the old pepper pots is still one of the finest; Christopher Eccleston is again unbelievably good, as Robert Shearman re-imagines this icon for a new generation.

28. Army Of Ghosts / Doomsday

A heart-wrenching goodbye for Rose, what the Series 2 finale lacks in production value it makes up for in raw emotion. Worth it purely for the Dalek vs Cyberman smack talk.

27. School Reunion

An emotional return for Sarah Jane and K9, this is tinned nostalgia and an early look at how Ten deals with his Time War guilt. Some lovely moments between Sarah and the Doctor; it's as if she's never been away.

26. Bad Wolf / The Parting Of The Ways

The epic conclusion to Eccleston's era, this is an outlandish, gripping and deeply moving story. Nine really was as fantastic as he said, and this was one of his finest moments as the Doctor.
