5. Demon's Run
Although she had received twelve thousand consecutive life sentences for a crime she didn't - but according to everyone else she did - commit, it wasn't all bad news for River. Every now and then she managed to escape from the confines of her Stormcage Containment Facility cell in order to aid the Doctor on his various timey-wimey escapades. The only problem is (if you hadn't figured it out already), her timeline was moving in the opposite direction so every time she was reunited with him, he knew her even less. This was now even more difficult for River to accept given the fact that she was forced to act like a virtual stranger around the man who was now technically her husband. The course of true love never did run smooth. It didn't take her long to realise that the rest of her days would have to spent ensuring that time played out correctly for her beloved and the first thing on her agenda was making sure she made an appearance at Demon's Run - shortly after her own birth - to let Amy and Rory know who exactly who she was, thus setting the chain of events which would ultimately lead to her current incarceration into motion. No wonder she had to keep track of it all in that diary.
