Doctor Who: 10 Directions The Show Could Go In Next
5. The Aftermath Of The Flux
Jodie Whittaker's final full series as the Doctor was all about the Flux, an all-powerful burst of energy that threatened to annihilate the entire universe.
While the Doctor and her friends did prevent the entirety of existence from being wiped out, this spatial anomaly still claimed millions, if not billions of lives, and destroyed countless civilisations across the universe. That's a pretty big deal.
The aftermath of the Flux has not yet been fully explored on the show. What happened to those who survived it? What took the place of the lost planets? Is there any way to undo its effects? That's a lot of questions that need answering.
Some of the Doctor's adventures could take them to worlds that have been ravaged by the event, and to people who are struggling to survive after losing everything. There's also room for new worlds to rise up out of the ashes of the old ones, possibly even creating new species born from the energy of the Flux's destruction.
Something as massive as a universe-ending cloud of death cannot just be forgotten about. It wouldn't just be a shame if the Flux was never addressed again - it would be absolutely baffling.
