Doctor Who: 10 Reasons Rose Tyler Is The Definitive NuWho Companion

2. Her Story Came Full Circle

1st January 2010 marked the end of a magnificent era when the Tenth Doctor regenerated to an audience of over 12 million viewers. And there was only one way he was ever going to go. With Rose back on the parallel world with her own human Doctor in tow, the titular Time Lord was unable to visit her during his whistle-stop farewell tour of his most dedicated allies. But what's the point of having a TARDIS if you're not going to use it? In his final moments, he journeyed back to the Powell Estate on New Year's Day 2005 where he was able to see Rose one last time in his current incarnation. He promised her that she was going to have a brilliant year as a reference to the fact that she was due to meet his predecessor in a couple of months. Thus the Doctor and Rose's story had come full circle. The Powell Estate is where it all began for them and it's ultimately where it all ended, too. It was fitting that Rose was able to make an appearance in his final episode and it was the perfect way for David Tennant to bid adieu to his spectacular TARDIS tenure. Rose had been a huge part of it and it was bittersweet for the audience to see her one last time with the knowledge that her life was about to change forever.
