Doctor Who: 10 Roles That Prove The Perfect Casting Of Peter Capaldi

6. Raymond Carter - Foyle's War

Foyle's War Peter Capaldi I am quite a fan of NCIS. I love investigation stories set within the context of wars because it is a sad fact of life that the home situation does not improve when there is a crisis abroad. Foyle's War is a police procedural set during and after the second World War and a marvelous historical fiction show. Capaldi appears in the finale of Foyle's War Series 3. He is a known political agitator and Foyle is expected to assess him, to see if he poses a real threat. When he arrives, he is revealed to be a married man and introduced as Reverend Carter. He is mild-mannered, unassuming and not what we expected from the preliminary descriptions. Frankly, he seems to be more of a political candidate than a threat to the status quo. People support his philosophies and, rather than work them into a lather, he tacitly accepts their support and moves on. When he is faced with the idea that he might be under investigation, his cooperation is almost condescending. He is humoring the people who do not understand his purpose. It is when they bring up the particulars of his politics that he becomes impassioned, but he a slow-burning fire rather than an explosion.

That's Kaki pronounced like the pants, thank you very much, my family nickname and writing name. I am a Red Sox-loving, Doctor Who-quoting, Shaara-reading walking string quartet of a Mormon writer from Boston. I currently work 40 hours at a stressful desk job with a salary that lets me pick up and travel to places like Ireland or Philadelphia. I have no husband or kids, but I have five nephews to keep me entertained. When not writing, working or eating too much Indian food, I'm always looking for something new to learn, whether it's French or family history.
