Doctor Who: 11 Reasons To Love The 11th Doctor

8. His Sonic Screwdriver

His Sonic Screwdriver Since "Doctor Who" was rebooted in 2005, the Doctor's sonic screwdriver has become a more and more essential part of the Doctor's tool kit. Sylvester McCoy's Doctor, if you recall, did not even mention the term during his tenure, and the use of the sonic screwdriver was spotty at best during the run of the other classic Doctors. That all changed in 2005, and the 11th Doctor, even more than his two predecessors, became very, very dependent on his little glowy-glowy stick. Appropriately, his screwdriver was given a larger, more dramatic design to compliment this developing attachment. Its glowy-glowy colour was changed to green and it was given some very neat little claws that pop out when the Doctor shakes it just right. Very cool. The colour scheme and texture choices alone are enough to make me love the 11th Doctor's sonic screwdriver, but there's also the way he flips it around€”mm. I love the 11th Doctor's sonic screwdriver.
