Doctor Who: 8 Great Eighth Doctor Audio Stories

4. Blood of the Daleks (Eighth Doctor Adventures, 2007)

This is the first episode of the Eighth Doctor Adventures. These were envisioned as a series of 60 minute stories that could be broadcast on radio in addition to being sold on Big Finish€™s website. Indeed, they were broadcast on BBC Radio 7, and proved quite popular. They were launched in 2007 at the height of David Tennant€™s popularity as the Tenth Doctor, and share a similar €œfeel€ to the current TV series. In this particular story, that feeling is helped by the presence of Nicholas Briggs, who voices the Daleks for Big Finish and for the TV show. This story also introduces us to the character of Lucie Miller, who would be the Doctor€™s companion for€well, a while. She€™s a part of some sort of Time Lord witness protection plan and right from the start proves to be an excellent companion.
