Doctor Who: Ranking Every Spin-Off From Worst To Best
13. Doctor Who: The Infinite Quest
In 2007, CBBC created their own Doctor Who behind-the-scenes show Totally Doctor Who. A mostly forgettable Blue Peter knock-off, its highlight was the animated serialised story that was featured in each instalment, later to be repackaged as a 45-minute episode titled The Infinite Quest.
For a show with endless imagination, you would think that Doctor Who would be a natural fit for a cartoon series. However, while the animation itself is decent - it is the same 'marionette' technique used in the DVD animated recreations of lost episodes - the story lets it down. Due to being intended to air in punchy, incident-filled three-minute segments, the plot is very choppy and shallow.
That said, David Tennant and Freema Agyeman do their best with the material, and it's nice to hear Buffy star Anthony Head as an OTT villain.
