Doctor Who: What Your Favourite Companion Says About You

7. Ace

The Companion: Ace. Dorothy with no definitive last name. (It's either Gale or McShane depending on who you choose to believe.) The final companion of the show's first incarnation, Ace was a feisty, enthusiastic embodiment of what the show's then producer thought that 80s youth culture was all about. (He was... well, let's be polite and say 'colorfully inaccurate'.) Known for making homemade explosives while dealing with crippling mother-issues, Ace was last seen walking off into the distance with the seventh Doctor. Notable Achievement: Between the last episode of Survival and the 1996 telefilm Ace either died, became a time-travelling French debutante, or was shipped off to Gallifrey University to become a Jedi; depending on which flavor of spin-off merchandise you followed at the time. She did not, as far as anyone knows, marry Brian Blessed. What Liking Her Best Says About You: You were a fan of the original series and were devastated at the time that they cancelled the show 'just as it was getting good again.' You find yourself drawn to people who have a tough exterior that masks a secretly sensitive nature. You also probably like watching things blow up.
