11. Homer's Invisibility Cloak

Harry Potter The Simpsons
Fox

It's not uncommon for The Simpsons to base a show in the future, and show what the family will be up to in a few years time. Season 23's Christmas episode fast forwarded 20 years or so, showing Bart and his sons, Lisa and her daughter, and a pregnant Maggie all return home to Evergreen Terrace.

In these episodes, the show likes to take inspiration from Futurama, and pack as many crazy new inventions in as possible. Here we saw messages sent directly to the brain, the ability to read thoughts, and of course, robots.

One other thing that has seemingly been invented in Springfield in 20 years time is an invisibility cloak, something that Homer wants to put on before taking his grandsons to see dangerous Downtown Springfield. The only problem is simply that Homer can't remember which coat hanger he put it on. We wonder if Harry Potter ever had this same problem?
