6. Will Social Media Play A Key Role?

Interestingly, Fear The Walking Dead isn't technically present day. It's set before the apocalypse, and with TWD starting to air in 2010 after its begun, that's the latest the show can be set. There aren't any specific times mentioned, but it'll be interesting to see how 2015 technology could be used in the show. Social media has exploded in the last few years particularly, with blockbuster films frequently picking up some sort of social media side-story. A video has already been sent viral, so is that a sign we're about to see a lot more usage of social media in the show as the world descends into panic. Fear spreads like a virus, tweets and statuses spread like viruses, and the 'virus' itslef is shooting across the country. Are there parallels to be drawn?
