Game Of Thrones Season 6: 12 Big Things We Still Haven't Seen
1. Ian McShane's Character
We haven't even had confirmation of who Ian McShane is playing, let alone had a chance to see him in action.
Based on casting calls and comments from the man himself, it seems certain he's playing an amalgamation of Septon Meribald and the Elder Brother, both characters who feature in Brienne's storyline, and who tie into the Gravedigger theory (namely that Sandor Clegane is still alive, and is working as a gravedigger on the Quiet Isle).
McShane has already commented a couple of times that he's responsible for bringing back a character everyone had assumed was dead, so all signs point to it being Clegane. He's also revealed that it's just for one episode, which helps explain why we've not yet seen him, but it still appears as though he's going to have a very key role.
Then there's also the fact that Ian McShane is a fantastic addition to the cast, and one of the most high-profile names they've drafted in since it began, even if he does just consider it "ti*s & dragons" and only did it to see his old mates (who won't actually be there).
