Game Of Thrones Season 6: 8 Things You Might've Missed In 'The Broken Man'

3. Arya Might Not Have Been Arya

Wait, what?

One of the big theories about Arya since the last episode is that there's some sort of Fight Club style twist coming, and the Waif exists in her head. This... isn't that theory.

Instead, a few clues have been noticed that this isn't Arya getting stabbed, but rather Jaqen (or the member of the Faceless Men who wears his face). In the Arya scenes, there are a few things that seem off: she doesn't have Needle, despite retrieving it last episode with the clear intention of using it; she's walking like a rich person (see Tyrion/Varys earlier in the season); she suddenly has two big bags of coins; she's dressed like she's from Westeros; and then she allows the Waif to kill her without even raising her guard.

As shown in the Season 5 finale, meanwhile, Jaqen was able to take on her face despite the fact Arya wasn't dead. This means he could be pretending to be Arya, in order to test not her, but the Waif, whose vendetta against the Stark girl has been rather against what the Faceless Men stand for - it's personal, and she didn't make the murder quick and painless.

I'm not 100% sold on the idea, but it's certainly interesting.
