Game Of Thrones Season 7 Implications: What "The Spoils Of War" Really Means
9. Brienne "Kept Her Vow", Sansa Has Issues

After doing "next to nothing" for ages - by her own admission - we finally got to see something of Brienne this episode, kicking the snot out of Pod because she's clearly frustrated at not having a real enemy to fight (or at not having a Tormund to low-key angrily flirt with).
This episode essentially freed Brienne of her duties, as Pod says she "kept her vow" to Catelyn to protect her daughters. And then, in a delightful segue, we got to see her try and crush one of them in a training fight with Arya, which finally showed us what the youngster can do in a real fight. She's great, as if anyone doubted it.
The battle seemed to tease a new team-up between the two (and Pod, hopefully) that will come back into focus later, but it also established friction between Arya and Sansa, who looked over the battle with what appeared to be fear. Was she reacting to the change in her sister, who is now an unrecognisable warrior genius? Or does she envy her ability to immediately establish relationships? Her frosty storm-off - which was clearly nectar to Littlefinger, as he feeds on friction - was incredibly interesting and seemed to suggest a storm is coming between the Stark daughters.
And can we all just take a moment to appreciate the genius of the "Who taught you how to do that?" "No-one" exchange? Gold.
