Gotham: 10 Future Villains We Want To See

8. Basil Karlo

Long before he would become the shape-shifter most Bat-fans identify him as, Basil Karlo was an actor who went on a murder spree against the cast of a remake of one of his own horror films. Aside from the fact the issue of remaking classic films is a rather topical one in our own world, Karlo's decision to take up his old character's moniker of Clayface and begin murdering the actors in the order they die in the film would give Gordon an entertaining ticking clock mystery to solve. While we wouldn't expect Karlo to turn into the supervillain in the show proper, his inclusion and incarceration in the show would serve as a great nod to the fans, putting the murderous actor in the same place he would be visited years later by Sondra Fuller, the fourth person to take on the Clayface name. An episode devoted to Gordon's investigation of the Clayface killings could be an enjoyably creative and welcome diversion from the larger criminal machinations at play in Gotham.
