House Of Cards: 10 Questions That Must Be Answered In Season 3

5. Are Lucas Goodwin And Tom Hammerschmidt Still On Frank's Trail?

You might have been forgiven for forgetting about the Washington Herald's two most wayward sons, as their role in Season 2 diminished as the scent of their story slowly left their nostrils. Tormented by the death of Zoe, and now safely locked away after being framed for digital espionage, Lucas has more or less figured out everything Frank's done, but lacks any evidence to prove it. Turning to Tom Hammerschmidt to try and get the story written, his former Editor takes a long hard look at all the pieces and tells him it's just not enough to stand up to any real scrutiny. If you're going after the most powerful man in the country, the pen isn't always mightier than the sword. But that was then. Now Frank's enemies, each holding a small but critical piece of the puzzle, could be brought together to make everything fit. Rachel Posner, the woman who ties Frank to the death of a congressman, and then to the death of the reporter investigating it, is out there somewhere. There's also Raymond Tusk who can link him to the casinos, China, and party funds, as well as President Walker, Linda Vasquez, and any number of former colleagues Frank has thrown under the party bus, who have the potential to bring the whole thing down around him. The question is, are either of them still looking.
