By the time season nine rocked up, fans were getting pretty used to seeing the gang get conned. They knew by this point that the owners of Paddy's pub weren't the brightest, and so the best episodes were ones that didn't revolve around them getting duped. Sadly, that's pretty much all you get in this outing.

"Mac and Dennis Buy A Timeshare," tells the story of the gang's attempts to regain the poor investments they made after being tricked by a cunning salesman, who coerced Dee into joining a pyramid scheme and got Mac/Dennis stuck in a timeshare.

In general, season nine was a firm time for the show, so while this one might have stood out pretty well a few seasons ago, it drowns here among more exciting and fresh ideas. It's a whole episode dedicated to stuff you've seen before, with the gang trying to screw other people over to make up for their mistakes.

It's got some highlights like the return of 'Da Maniac and Frank getting stuck in a kids playground, but it is overall a very formulaic one.
