Lost: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best
4. Season 3 - "The One That Spent A Lot Of Time On The Others"
Best Episode Of The Season: Episode 20 - The Man Behind The Curtain
The third season of the cult series had a lot to follow on. The infamous Hatch that had consumed the entire previous season had imploded, three of the main leads had been captured by The Others for unknown reasons, and Claire was still wandering around with her baby and being useless.
The writers of season three did have an advantage, and that was to slowly sneak away from character-driven plots, and focus more on the mythology of the Island itself and who its previous inhabitants were. Finally, audiences were given insight into who The Others actually were, and why the Island was so significant to some.
Admittedly, the crazy cliffhangers didn't stop, and it seemed Lost was devoted to doubling down on the weirdness. Desmond's clairvoyance, the introduction of Jacob and the scattered conflict between the Survivors and The Others made for an interesting season in which two factions go to war.
But the third season is definitely loaded with faults - with a number of episodes being ultimately forgettable, with one in particular serving to kill of two characters that audiences just did not gel with. It was this season, that the cracks in the show started to appear.
