4. Where Does Matt Murdock Go From Here?
When asked if there will be a Daredevil Season 4, Charlie Cox replied that he was unsure because, on a character level, he didn't know where Matt Murdock would go next. By the end of Season 3, all Matt's personal demons have pretty much been cleansed. He's back with his friends. he's defeated Fisk the legal way, he's even gained a parent through Sister Maggie being revealed as his mother.
So where would the story take Matt in Season 4? Cox said it wouldn't make sense to do another season with the character "so isolated, so alone, and so broken and angry" and, let's be honest, that's what Matt has been like for the whole show so far. So would Season 4 explore the struggle of how Matt continues to be Daredevil despite having a fulfilling life for once?
In many ways, as shown through Matt's "man without fear" speech in the finale, Season 3 makes him the Daredevil from the comics more than ever. When you look at it that way, there's plenty more to do with the hero. Like, maybe put him back in the red suit...
