23. The Missing Records

When Danny faces off with the Meachams across the board room and they all decide to go to court over him actually being who he claims he is, it is established that Danny has no records to speak of: no birth certificate, no dental records, no finger prints on file. He's been gone 15 years, so that's understandable, right?

Except, Danny is a famous rich kid when he disappears. The idea that there were no dental records in itself is odd, and the lack of most other records could be attributed to Harold Meacham cleaning up after himself, except that doubly makes no sense. First, he thought Danny was dead, wouldn't then destroying all his records be a little over-zealous?

And then even if he did it all after finding out Danny was back in town - as some might suggest - surely the lack of any records at all - birth, death, dental, medical, whatever - in itself would be fairly incriminating?! It's not like he was a nobody - people knew he existed.
