One of Ted's late girlfriends, Carly is a tad younger than Ted at 20 years of age. Ted struggles to find anything in common until he finds out she likes Star Wars, only the new ones, and so he decides to continue seeing her. Another reason is that Barney is with Robin and needs to live his womanising ways through Ted so he makes him continue to see Carly until he finds out that it is fact his half-sister.

Carly is on this list because while Ted was doing well by being able to attract a younger girl, she thought he was really old and Ted was forced to play along. She was never going to be the mother and was just another one of Ted's women on the way to the mother.
