While Coates's slightly squiffy character was unveiled pretty early on, fans of the series have been able to connect to prison guard Bennett and his struggles to maintain a relationship with Daya while she is locked up, particularly in relation to the fact that she is carrying his child.

Their relationship has certainly had its ups and downs - with Bennett occasionally struggling to come through and do the right thing - but he always managed to keep things going in the end. He even proposed to Daya early into season 3 to show his commitment to her.

Then he met Cesar and promptly ran away with little explanation.

With Cesar looking like he is on his way to prison himself, it's tough to see who is going to come looking for Bennett for what he did to Daya. Somebody has to though, as what looked like the most legitimate love story in the entire show has been brought to a crashing halt and fans deserve to know why, or at least get to see the man who shirked his responsibilities get his comeuppance.
