3. What's Going To Happen With Alex?

Along with Piper, Alex is one of Orange Is the New Black's principal characters with much of the show revolving around how the pair came to be locked up in Litchfield as well as looking at their backstory as one-time lovers. But fans were shocked recently when it was announced Laura Prepon, who plays Alex, will only be returning for four episodes of the upcoming second season, with a more enhanced role in any hypothetical season three planned. This most likely means Alex manages to get herself out of jail somehow, which is bound to have devastating effects on Piper, who is still obviously in love with her former beau. Quite how Alex manages to get herself out of the slammer remains to be seen - we're guessing by means of appeal - but there could be something even more dramatic than that planned. It will be interesting to see how Alex's release ties in with any potential third series, and we're expecting a very open-ended departure for Litchfield's favourite lesbian.
