Ranking Every DCAU Show And Film Worst To Best

4. Justice League

Justice League Fatal Five
Warner Bros. Animation

Justice League was the show that really opened up the DCAU, with foundations Batman and Superman being joined by other DC stalwarts in Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkgirl and the Martian Manhunter himself, J'onn J'onzz.

With new heroes and a new status quo at their disposal, the threats were no longer exclusive to cities (or even the planet), so while familiar foes like Lex Luthor and the Joker resurfaced, we also met the DCAU versions of Doomsday, Gorilla Grodd and other iconic villains - which ultimately made it feel bigger, and in a way, better than everything that came before it.

Like its predecessors, Justice League benefited from the creative team's strong writing, and this wasn't exclusive to regulars Batman and Superman, as the show highlighted that the 'Timmverse' could have just as easily produced compelling shows centred on any of the other five League members.

From its exceptional three-part opener to its game-changing finale, the show told an incredibly well-scripted story - one that highlighted the journey of the DCAU's greatest heroes as they learned to put their differences aside to ultimately protect the world from the galaxy's biggest threats.

Nearly two decades later, it still resonates with fans as the definitive version of the iconic DC alliance and is, without a doubt, in a different 'League' than the 2017 live-action film.
