Ranking Every DCAU Show And Film Worst To Best

2. The New Batman Adventures

Justice League Fatal Five
Warner Bros. Animation

Though Batman: The Animated Series technically came to an end in 1995, the success of Superman's animated adventures encouraged Warner Bros. to revive the Dark Knight for another run. However, this time, things would look quite different, as the new show would take a time jump while adopting a more streamlined and sharper look that matched the character designs in the Man of Steel's show.

The New Batman Adventures may have looked different, but it maintained all that was good about the original series, updating the line-up to include a new Robin (Tim Drake) as the former had transitioned into Nightwing.

Though there was slightly less of an overall direction, this sequel series was able to rely heavily on a few of the strong narrative threads that ran throughout (such as Bruce's turbulent relationship with Dick) and also produced standout episodes like 'Over The Edge' and 'Legends of the Dark Knight'.

A loyal successor in every way possible, The New Batman Adventures was a far too short-lived gem that had us falling in love with Batman: The Animated Series all over again.
