9. Alexandra (The Defenders)
Sigourney Weaver is, without a doubt, one of the single best on-screen performers of all time, and seeing her in just about anything is always a treat. Marvel's The Defenders was certainly no exception.
In fact, it was Weaver's sheer stage presence that made Alexandra, the de facto leader of the Hand and one of the main antagonists of the show, so enjoyable to watch. Alexandra is a wise, ruthless woman who carries herself with the level of confidence you'd expect from the actress portraying her.
The character herself is fairly enjoyable as well (even if she does ultimately end up taking a backseat to Elektra as far as the plot is concerned). She is a powerful warrior, as well as a master manipulator, as evidenced by how she managed to keep the usually-untamed Elektra under her thumb for as long as she did.
She is also a great sympathetic villain, as her character arc revolves around the fact that she is an immortal who is finally faced with the prospect of death, which makes her eventual fall that much more impactful.
