Ranking Every Major MCU Netflix Villain From Worst To Best

8. Will Simpson (Jessica Jones)

Jessica Jones Kilgrave

It is said that the road to Hell is paved with good intentions, and no Marvel Netflix villain exemplifies this statement quite like Will Simpson.

Based on Frank Simpson, aka Nuke, from the Marvel comics, Will began season one of Jessica Jones as an honest cop and love interest of Trish Walker who ended up crossing paths with Kilgrave.

Distraught by the loss of control that dealing with Kilgrave comes with and infuriated by the prospect of Kilgrave hurting those he cares about, Simpson turns to his time in IGH's super-soldier program. After taking one too many combat enhancer pills, Simpson completely goes off the deep end and becomes the very thing he swore to destroy, a maniac out for blood.

His fall from grace is as compelling as it is tragic. He wanted nothing more than to do what he felt was right, and ended up giving into the very worst side of himself. Worse yet, the ending of season one seemed to imply that he was beyond saving.

This will be made especially clear if he turns up in Daredevil season three as part of the Born Again adaptation, as that storyline didn't exactly end well for his comic book counterpart.
