Riverdale: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

4. Veronica Lodge

Riverdale Veronica Archie
The CW

Feisty, fearless and downright ferocious (only when necessary of course), Veronica Lodge wasted no time pushing boundaries when she showed up at Riverdale High. Three years later, its suffice to say she did just that.

Determined to prove herself as more than the typical rich girl (with a father in prison), Veronica constantly subverted the expectations of both her peers and the viewers watching at home, befriending Betty almost instantly while putting the school's resident "It Girl" (Cheryl) in her place. And it was this (and her undeniable beauty) that attracted the attention of Archie Andrews.

Though she does occasionally fall victim to her own stereotype and the subsequent introduction of her father came at the show's detriment, Veronica often manages to - both in the storylines and in general - rise above the negativity and come out the other side more fearless and powerful than ever.

Is Veronica a rich girl? Yes. Does she often lose sight of what's important? Sure. But did she achieve her mission of proving herself as more than a caricature? Absolutely. 'Ronnie is, by far, one of the more interesting characters on Riverdale, and though the show could do without a ton of the Lodge family drama, Camilla Mendes radiates on the screen as she brings the sassy teenager to life.
