Scrubs: 10 Best Characters In Just One Episode
2. George
With patients coming in and out of the hospital all the time, it could be difficult for many to truly make a real impact on the show in just one episode. Elaine managed it in season two, and six years later in the second episode of season eight, so did George.
JD's patient was an elderly man with Ischemic Bowel disease, and knew he was never going to leave the hospital again. His initial interactions with JD and Turk were brief, as he didn't have much to say about his impending death, but they soon connected.
George's character was used, not only to show how much JD and Turk cared about their patients, but as a means for a deep and genuinely touching conversation about the fear of death. He became open and vulnerable, and effortlessly created a connection with the audience as well as his doctors.
He passed away that very night, with his final thought being about how much he enjoyed the beer his doctors brought to him. It's an incredibly emotional moment, and thanks to George, it's one that no Scrubs fan is ever likely to forget.
