3. Mycroft's Book

Throughout the scenes on the plane, Mycroft is acting peculiarly kind to Sherlock. Sure, his brother has just been exiled for killing a man, has taken an overdose and his nemesis has just returned from the grave, so you might expect him to show a modicum of empathy but this is Mycroft we're talking about, who is usually even less emotional than Sherlock. The most surprising moment happens after Sherlock tears up his list of what drugs he has taken - something which apparently harks back to a day in Sherlock's past. Once Sherlock and the others have left, Mycroft collects the pieces and files them away in a notebook which seems to be all about Sherlock. It even mentions his childhood dog Redbeard that Mycroft has chided Sherlock about before. It's a curious little scene that will surely be of importance once the show returns for Series Four. For now, though, we're lacking answers. Let the fan theories begin.
